Overview:
Fallowfield Montessori Academy invites applications for the role of an After-School Teacher with a focus on English and Art, and a willingness to engage students in a variety of other subjects. Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct lessons in English, Art, and other subjects, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and cater to the diverse needs of our students.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and a love for learning.
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and interests, ensuring all students are actively engaged.
• Assess student progress regularly, offering feedback that encourages growth and improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich educational programs and activities, contributing to a holistic learning experience for students.
• Keep accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and behavior, using this information to enhance teaching and learning.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and how they can support their learning at home.
• Participate in professional development sessions to improve teaching practices and stay updated with educational trends.

Experience:

• Experience working with children in an educational or after-school setting.
• Understanding of basic childhood development principles and an ability to manage a classroom effectively.
• Additional skills in extracurricular activities or subjects are welcome and considered a plus.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and listen to feedback from students and parents.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Education, English, or related fields is beneficial but not required. Candidates with coursework or certification in education or child development will be strongly considered.
• First Aid and CPR certification is appreciated but can be obtained after hiring if necessary.
